POSITION - Associate  Professor, Ph.D

WORK EXPERIENCE
Over 24 years’ experience in the area of marine biology, fisheries science (molecular taxonomy, population genetics, biodiversity, data collection), environmental science, experience in marine fishing recourses and ecosystem research.
Research on:  application of genetical markers  for assessment of population structure of fish species (marine and freshwater); determination of the taxonomical status of disputable fish species and other hydrobionts, specification of population-genetical structure of commercial fish species in connection with accurate determination of its stocks and their rational utilization; application of genetic-biochemical and DNA-markers for species identification of fishes and other hydrobionts to estimate and protect the biodiversity; application of genetical methods for rapid  identification of the fillet and caviar of sturgeons; to proof the origin and species identification of  broodstock and offspring, used for restocking programmes of sturgeons.
